Production Manager

Position Overview
Plays a central role in overseeing how production moves from planning to completion. This position bridges the gap between strategy and execution by ensuring resources, schedules and workflows align to meet production goals. Coordinate across departments, work closely with teams on the ground and communicate with production supervisors to keep operations on track. The work is not limited to the shop floor, but extends to planning, budgeting and reporting.
Deep understanding and know-how in production process and procedures for panels and furniture. Ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance and set an example as a good leader.
Decision-making and problem-solving is vital.
The goal is to ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and organize production schedules to meet the shipping date.
• Makes the master plan and execute in the factory.
• Identifies and manage production risks or bottlenecks.
• Maximizes usage of all resources such as manpower, machines and materials.
• Liaise with other departments to formulate objectives and understand requirements.
• Collaborate with the raw material warehouse and procurement in-charge to ensure fabrics and other materials are readily available.
• Make actual costing by tracking the flow of projects during sample making stage.
• Organizes workflow to meet specifications and deadlines.
• Monitors production to resolve issues on time.
• Manages and evaluate performance of production personnel at pressing, finishing, machining, assembly and packing.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the process.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production.
• Enforce occupational safety and health precautions in all areas of production.
• Monitors equipment and schedule routine maintenance.
• Initiate the conduct of a regular production meeting.
• Does other tasks required by the immediate head.
