Production Shift Manager (15 Positions - Working In Haiphong/ Hatinh)

Responsible for leading the overall performance and activities of a specific operational area within the designated shop at VinFast (General Assembly Shop, Paint Shop, Body Shop.....) through direct reports and, by extension, working in with other departments and shifts. Establish sound working relationships with all functional leaders internally and externally to the designated shop involved in the vehicle and production process development, launch and manufacture.
Manufacturing responsibilities include all aspects of the Operations business in the areas of Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness and Cost. As a Shift Manager, you will be a key partner for establishing and achievement of the designated shop's business plan which will deliver year-on-year performance efficiencies through a Continuous Improvement culture.
Develop and provide leadership for a high-performance team while enhancing organisational capability. Vinfast Shift Manager's must be proactive, self-motivated and energetic at at times. They should show initiative to improve the manufacturing process through waste elimination and improved output of their teams. Vinfast Shift Managers will recruit, coach, train, develop and motivate subordinates to optimise overall business performance with company policy.
• Manage and direct blue collar employees.
• Drive and lead safety initiatives while ensuring safe work practises and compliance to all local regulatory guidelines are met. Promote safe work practices as the highest priority and maintain a safe work environment
• Display a high level of drive, energy and initiative in every aspect of their working performance. Shift Managers should lead from the front and "walk the walk" at all times
• Drive and support all activities to ensure overall business objectives and targets are met or exceeded
• Drive and support production launch activities to ensure a quality and competitive start-up
• Drive a right first time approach and foster a continuous improvement culture through the effective execution of lean manufacturing and quality systems
• Ensure risk reduction tools are used to identify and eliminate high risk activities
• Develop a high level of trust within the business through exemplary integrity in all actions
• Select, develop and train Manufacturing team members to effectively execute operations to achieve business goals and targets
• Effectively train, coach and support team members in problem solving and resolution activities
• Establish people development as a core value to develop future leaders and grow organisational capability
• Empower and support teams to improve their work environment and eliminate any constraints
• Support strategies to increase production at minimum cost and reduce structural cost activities
• Compliance to VinFast Manufacturing systems and processes
• Liase with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality and other departments to meet daily production schedules and performance targets
• Ensure the working area / environment conforms to required 5S and workplace organisational standards at all times
