Mô tả công việc
The Library Project is looking for an energetic candidate to join our team! The Program Coordinator role will help us develop and implement literacy-based programming. The selected candidate will create new and innovative literacy programs for children and conduct them at rural schools in Vietnam directly with students! This position will also create new teacher trainings, work with local government, build partnerships with other NGOs and conduct monitoring and evaluations. If you are looking for a position that allows you to be creative and improve children's education this is the perfect role for you!
Programming for Children:
-Create various Literacy Programs for different subjects and ages
-Create curriculum for teachers regarding library management and usage
-Design engaging and creative Reading Programs for various ages
-Work with our staff to design online materials
Monitoring and Evaluation:
-Design pre and post surveys for schools
-Conduct monitoring via direct contact with teachers and schools after donations
-Conduct post-assessment evaluations
-Write internal and external evaluation reports
Purchasing:
-Update book selection on rolling basis
-Work directly with publishers in Vietnam
-Work directly with furniture distributors
Government Capacity:
-Work directly with provincial and central government
-Ensure all the work we do is pre-approved by government
-Ensure all documentation needed for organization, government and donor are complete
-Hold meetings with provincial government for updates
Other Duties:
-Help create literacy partnerships within Vietnam with other NGOs
-Assist with fundraising as needed
-Assistance adjusting budgets as needed
Yêu cầu
-Vietnamese national only
-University degree (preferably in education)
-Fluent in both Vietnamese and English (IELTS 6.5 or higher)
Desirable:
-Candidate with education degree from Vietnamese university
-Understanding of public school setting in Vietnam, especially in rural areas
-Experience creating curriculum for primary students
-Experience working directly with Vietnamese students
-Experience working with Vietnamese teachers
Other:
-Positive attitude
-Works well with a team
-Driven and ambitious
-Can work with little instruction
-Excited about improving education in Vietnam
Other information about this position:
This is a full time, salaried position. General working hours are M-F daytime. Some travel is required for this position.
