ABOUT JOB
We are seeking an experienced Project Director to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of a large-scale green field International Airport Project. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in managing complex airport construction projects, ensuring compliance with international standards, and leading multidisciplinary teams.
Project Leadership & Strategy
Provide overarching strategic direction and leadership for the entire airport construction program.
Ensure all project milestones, budget targets, and construction timelines are met without compromising quality standards.
Develop and implement proactive risk management strategies to minimize delays and prevent cost overruns.
Stakeholder & Contract Management
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, government regulatory bodies, contractors, and consulting partners.
Lead contract negotiations, manage vendor agreements, and ensure rigorous compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Technical & Operational Oversight
Supervise all phases of airport construction, including runway development, terminal buildings, air traffic control towers, and ancillary support infrastructure.
Guarantee full adherence to ICAO, FAA, IATA, and other relevant international aviation standards.
Review and validate engineering designs, construction methodologies, and procurement strategies to ensure technical excellence.
Team & Resource Management
Lead and mentor a large, multidisciplinary team comprising engineers, architects, contractors, and subcontractors.
Optimize workforce allocation, manpower planning, and subcontractor performance to drive operational efficiency.
Financial & Reporting Accountability
Monitor and control project budgets, cash flow, and overall financial performance.
Prepare and deliver comprehensive progress reports to senior management and key stakeholders on a regular basis
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline.
Experience: A minimum of 10+ years of proven experience managing large-scale international airport construction projects.
Track Record: Demonstrated history of delivering complex airport infrastructure projects on time and within allocated budgets.
Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of aviation regulations, international safety protocols, and modern construction best practices.
Stakeholder Engagement: Extensive experience collaborating with EPC contractors, government agencies, and diverse international clients.
Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management credentials are highly preferred.
