General Description
• The Project Manager is accountable for the delivery of selected projects where structured project management is required, such as new business implementations, major customer expansions, or complex change initiatives. The role owns project execution from approval through go-live and stabilization, ensuring delivery against agreed scope, timeline, budget, quality, and QHSSE requirements.
• The Project Manager is engaged from the early stage of project initiation, partnering with relevant stakeholders to shape feasible implementation approaches, assess risks, timelines, and resource implications, and support decision-making prior to contract finalization. The role then leads disciplined project governance and execution in line with DSV global standards and local operational requirements. This is an individual contributor role with a strong implementation focus, where results are achieved through structured planning, stakeholder alignment, and cross-functional coordination rather than direct people management.
• The Project Manager works closely with Solution Design, Commercial, Operations, and Support Functions to ensure operational readiness, seamless handover, and sustainable performance post-implementation.
Responsibilities
- Project Initiation & Early Engagement
• Engage from early project initiation, including pre-contract and pre-approval phases, to support feasibility assessment, implementation strategy, and delivery assumptions.
• Partner with Commercial, Solution Design, Operations to review customer requirements, solution concepts, timelines, cost drivers, risks, and resource implications.
• Contribute implementation input to bid, proposal, and internal approval processes.
- Project Planning & Governance
• Define and baseline project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, success criteria, and governance structure.
• Establish and maintain project plans, budgets, resource plans, risk assessments, and communication plans.
• Drive disciplined project governance in line with DSV global standards, tools, and reporting requirements.
• Manage project dependencies, assumptions, and constraints; escalate issues where required.
- Cross-functional Coordination & Stakeholder Management
• Act as the single point of coordination across internal stakeholders.
• Align stakeholders on priorities, timelines, risks, and trade-offs to enable effective decision-making.
• Lead project meetings, steering committees, and progress reviews; provide clear and structured status reporting.
- Execution, Risk & Change Management
• Lead end-to-end project execution from approval through go-live and stabilization.
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues; maintain and update risk and issue logs.
• Manage scope changes through formal change control processes, ensuring impact on cost, timeline, and quality is assessed and approved.
• Ensure compliance with agreed quality standards, QHSSE requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Cost, Vendor & Readiness Management
• Track and monitor project-level costs and budget consumption, working closely with Finance, Procurement, and relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Construction & Facilities to ensure site readiness, including warehouse fit-out, layout, racking, MHE, and infrastructure requirements, where applicable.
• Oversee project-related vendors, contractors, and third-party providers to ensure delivery against agreed scope, timelines, quality, and QHSSE standards.
- Go-live, Stabilization & Handover
• Lead cutover planning, go-live execution, and stabilization (hypercare) activities.
• Ensure operational readiness, including processes, systems, staffing, training, SOPs, and KPIs.
• Facilitate structured handover to Operations with clear ownership, documentation, and performance baselines.
- Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Management
• Capture lessons learned and best practices to improve future project delivery.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management standards, templates, and ways of working within Contract Logistics.

Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of hands-on project management experience within contract logistics, supply chain, 3PL, or industrial environments.
• Formal project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project or equivalent) & Other Data Analysis tools are preferred.
• Experience with WMS, ERP, or project management systems is an advantage.
• Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional implementation projects.
• Practical experience in warehouse start-ups, new customer onboarding, site expansion, or major operational change.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, contract logistics, and end-to-end supply chain flows.
• Financial awareness with ability to manage budgets and costs.
