• Ability to read and interpret basic documents such as hardward specification sheet, Bill Of Materials and standard procedures.
• Purchase assigned parts using the Time Phased report and other system based signals to assure timely delivery.
• Understands the ERP system purchasing screens and can utilize the system to accomplish assigned tasks; understands inventory and impacts to production.
• Conducting research on potential products, vendors, and services, and comparing price and quality to ensure the best deal.
• Communicate effectively with Vendors and co-workers to provide status and escalate issues when necessary.
• Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices.
• Reviews the open order Report and assures that suppliers meet the agreed upon delivery dates.
• Escalates problems to management. Actively participate in continuous improvement activities within the departments.
• Initiates the RTV process for their purchased items when dispositional. Contacts suppliers to communicate problems.
• Adjusts the purchase order to reflect the return. Assures RTV PO line closes.
• Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases.
• Performing inventory inspections and reordering supplies and stock as necessary.
