We are seeking a Mid/Senior QA Engineer with a strong development background who thrives at the intersection of quality and engineering. You are not just a
tester -- you write code, think like a
developer, and bring deep QA expertise to build reliable, high-quality Fintech products. A genuine habit of applying AI tools to your daily QA workflow is a key part of what we are looking for.
1. YOUR SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
QA & Testing:
• Analyze requirements and design comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and checklists across web and mobile platforms.
• Lead and execute manual testing: functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Perform API testing and database validation to ensure backend integrity and business logic correctness.
• Own defect management: document, track, and follow up on bugs with clear reproduction steps, severity, and resolution status.
• Generate and present test reports with quality metrics to Team Lead and Product Manager.
Dev & Automation:
• Write, maintain, and improve automation test frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent (JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Collaborate with Dev team ([protected info] / NestJS / TypeScript) on code-level debugging, unit tests, and integration tests.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and contribute to release quality gates.
• Review code and provide QA-perspective feedback during pull request reviews.
AI-Powered QA:
• Actively leverage AI tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) to accelerate test case generation, defect analysis, and coverage optimization.
• Explore and propose new AI-assisted testing approaches to improve team efficiency and product quality.
Process & Leadership:
• Drive QA process improvements and advocate for quality best practices across the Engineering team.
• Participate in sprint planning and refinement to define test scope, flag risks, and align on quality standards early.
2. REQUIREMENTS
Mandatory (Must-have):
• 2-5 years of experience in QA with a strong foundation in manual and automation testing.
• Solid coding skills in Node js or TypeScript -- able to write, debug, and maintain automation frameworks independently.
• Hands-on experience with API testing and database validation (Postman, SQL).
• Proven and active habit of using AI tools in daily QA work -- not just awareness, but real practice.
• Experience working with Dev teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Strong communication skills: able to write clear test plans, bug reports, and quality summaries for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred (Nice-to-have):
• Experience with Playwright or Cypress -- strong advantage.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Docker).
• Basic knowledge of backend development ([protected info] / NestJS) to read and review code effectively.
• Experience testing mobile apps (iOS/Android).
• Exposure to Fintech products (investing, mutual funds, banking apps).
• ISTQB Foundation certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Awareness of cloud platforms such as AWS is beneficial.
