The Job
The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:
- Develop and execute the overall QA strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and development roadmaps.
- Define and enforce quality standards, processes, and best practices across the organization.
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, testers, and analysts across multiple projects and locations.
- Oversee the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks and performance testing tools.
- Collaborate with Product, Development, DevOps, and Support teams to ensure seamless integration of quality processes.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to track quality improvements, defect trends, and release readiness.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, CMMI, GDPR, etc.) when applicable.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the QA team.
Your Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experiences including the following:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in QA, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven expertise in test automation frameworks, performance testing, and quality engineering tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, LoadRunner, Postman, Jenkins, Jira, etc.)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Experience in regulated domains (e.g., healthcare, finance, transportation) is a plus.
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certifications.
- Experience with cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and integration of security in testing.
- Familiarity with AI/ML in test automation or analytics is an advantage.
