Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Conduct Quality Assurance and Control (QA/QC) of in- and outbound materials and formulations as well as product.
2. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with SOPs and established Safe Work Practices.
3. Focus on corrective actions in order to make sure that products meet required specifications
4. Maintain all documentation for the purpose of auditing
5. Collect regular samples for shelf life and analysis at the laboratory
6. Work with the Product Development and Operations Management regarding specific information relating to product information and production
7. Report bottlenecks to the Operations Management
8. Engage in quality calibrations and internal audits in a professional manner
9. Constant updating of job knowledge by reading technical publications, participating in seminars and other educational opportunities
10. Ensure measuring equipment are functioning properly and calling for repairs where equipment are faulty
11. Approve finished products for onward shipment to the market
12. Co-operate with government agencies during inspections in order to meet and maintain high production standards
13. Work with the management and production managers to ensure that only quality products are produced
14. Ensure that no expired raw material is used for production
15. Help to check and update quality control policies
16. Find solutions to customers' complaints and feedback
17. Remove bad products that are discovered during the production process
18. Monitor every stage of production to avoid product defects
19. Write reports and submit same to the quality control manager
20. Record and analysis production data and test results as required
21. Recommend modifications to already existing production standards within the limits of available equipment capacity and capability
22. Proper assessment of suppliers.
23. QC of incoming materials.
24. Support the technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing facilities.
25. Troubleshooting manufacturing processes and equipment and analyze technical data and documents.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Education:
• Minimum of bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering,Materials Science or related scientific discipline.
*Knowledge and Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on industrial experience with polyurethane foam production
• Thorough understanding of methods and processes involved in manufacturing
• Well skilled in quality processes and also statistical techniques
• End use experience - such as developing foams for footwear, automotive, seating or bedding applications is a bonus
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Attention to detail with clear and complete documentation skills
• Speaks English is a must and Mandarin at basic level
• Data management is a plus
• Knowledge about measurement and test equipment
• Ability to work well in a team
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and quality control standards
• Ability to interpret instructions whether written, spoken, or in a diagram
• Possess problem-solving skills
• Computer skills especially in the use Microsoft Word, Excel and
PowerPoint and ability to manage files and records effectively
