Quality Control Coordinator

The Quality Control Coordinator is required to work within the Quality Department and will report to the Quality Assurance Manager. The focus of the role is to support the Quality Assurance Manager with the daily running of the Quality Department.
Implement the established procedures and processes to safeguards that raw materials and finished products meet the quality, legal and food / feed safety standards and customer requirement.
Monitoring the implementation of the established procedures and processes in related to feed products producing from incoming goods, production run and finished goods release to meet the company standards.
What you'll be doing:
• Comply with established SOPs as written in accordance with Quality and Food/Feed Safety Management Systems and HSE requirements
• Complete timely routine analytical works in the QC laboratory for raw materials, intermediate and finished products according to established test methods, from raw materials to in-process quality control intermediate and finished products
• Doing routine QC work on production runs in line with standard operating methods.
• Ensure approval label checks are being carried out correctly by production
• Sign off and file in-place all required documentation, records and reports after completing all the required tests and inspections
• Liaising with the Quality Assurance Manager regarding stock going into and out of quarantine and holding warehouses
• Ensuring all stock in quarantine and holding is properly controlled
• To maintain traceability systems throughout the business
• Calibrate and maintain instruments and test equipment (NIR machine etc.) according to operating manuals and established SOPs to ensure reliability and repeatability of analytical test results
• Test and evaluate samples of raw materials for quality control or supplier qualification, finished goods samples, production trial and investigate material or product failure as instructed by Quality Assurance Manager.
• To ensure retained samples are kept for the specified period and stored correctly
• To inform Quality Assurance Manager of any non-conformances, QLO within the products and processes
• To assist with non-conformance investigations and reporting
• Sampling raw materials and finished goods as specific purpose that defined by Quality Assurance Manager. Routine sampling incoming goods and finished products are done by Operators and QC does the spot check to ensure compliance with sampling protocol
• Ensuring all samples for testing by external laboratories are sent in a timely manner
