- We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team and work closely with our Australian clients. The role involves providing cost planning, estimating, contract administration, and project financial control services across various residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. This position requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of Australian construction standards, and the ability to deliver high-quality outcomes in a collaborative, remote-working environment.
* What You'll Do:
- Take responsibility for the delivery of professional assignments under the supervision of a manager in Australia.
- Support team members on key major projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with the contract.
- Preparation of management accounts including project cost and value reporting.
- Maintenance of project records.
- A sound working knowledge of various standard forms of contracts.
- Prepare material lists, producing bills of quantities for tendering purposes and advising clients on tenders when received.
- Administer construction contracts and measuring and approving progress payments.
- Monitor changes of design, assessing effects on cost, measuring values, and negotiating variations to designs.
- Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates as tools for budgetary control.
- Prepare monthly cashflow and financial report.
- Handle any other ad-hoc duties and tasks as assigned.
Yêu cầu
* Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil/Structural Engineering, or Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or cost management.
* Technical Skills
- Proficient in CAD and quantity take-off software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam).
- Strong understanding of Australian construction codes and standards.
* Effective Communication
- Strong communication and presentation skills to convey data-driven insights effectively.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially with international clients.
* Attention to Detail
- Excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Problem-Solving Prowess
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts and adapt to changing situations.
- Willingness to ask questions, take initiative, and are proactive with your communication.
- Strong project management and prioritization skills to manage deadlines and unexpected client needs.
- Commitment to refining written and verbal communication, with the ability to tailor language to suit each client's personality and preferences.
