QUANOVA - A deeptech startup is seeking highly motivated candidates for multiple positions at both Junior (MSc, PhD) and Senior (Postdoc) levels. We're building a small, high-caliber team working on building the foundations of Vietnam's quantum ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
As an R&D Quantum Optics Engineer, you will contribute to the design and implementation of optical and quantum communication protocols and network functionalities. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to develop and deploy next-generation quantum networking solutions.
Required
• Have experience in academic research and enjoy working within a team of researchers, postdocs, and PhD students
• Are eager to broaden their expertise by contributing to innovative, cross-disciplinary research
• MSc in
Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field
• Experimental experience in one or more of the following domains:
• Experimental physics
• Astronomical instrumentation
• Optics, Detectors, Readouts
• Quantum optics
• Optical or laser communications
• Quantum networks
• Hands-on experience in mechanical assembly
• Hands-on experience with optical systems, including system calibration
• Hands-on experience with basic Test & Measurement instruments (oscilloscopes, power meters, etc.)
• Expertise using fiber optics, photonic devices, fiber lasers, etc.
• Expertise in using and characterizing EOMs, polarization optics, and single photon detectors
• An understanding of electronics is required to effectively work together with electrical engineers and programmers.
• Comfortable working with hardware, schematics, and system documentation
• Experience with Python or Labview or other optics softwares
• Experienced with
software engineering best practices (version control (git), documentation, code reviews, etc.)
• Experience in communication tech would be valuable
Nice to have:
Programming proficiency in Python/C++
Experiences with optics design softwares such as optiware, VPIphotonics, Ansys Lumerical, keysight ADS
Experience with simple closed-cycle cryogenic systems would be valuable
Experience with quantum SDKs (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane, QuTiP), open-source contributions, or scientific event organisation.
Existing network or active engagement in the quantum research community; postdoctoral experience.
Project management experience in a research or technical environment.
