We are seeking a highly motivated researcher / research associate specializing in histology to support our cancer organoid platform, CRO services, and validation studies. The successful candidate will be responsible for tissue processing, histological analysis, immunostaining, digital pathology, and quality assessment of patient-derived tissues and organoids.
This position plays an important role in validating organoid models, evaluating drug responses, and supporting biomarker analysis for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic research projects.
Key responsibilities
Tissue processing
Perform fixation, dehydration, paraffin embedding, and block preparation.
Perform microtomy.
Prepare high-quality histological slides according to SOPs.
Optimize tissue processing protocols for various tissue and organoid types.
Histological staining
Perform routine staining, including Hematoxylin & Eosin (H&E), Masson's Trichrome, Alcian Blue, other special stains when required.
Troubleshoot staining quality and optimize protocols.
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) & Immunofluorescence (IF)
Develop and perform IHC/IF assays for organoids and tissue sections.
Optimize antigen retrieval, antibody concentration, blocking conditions, and detection systems.
Validate biomarkers for CRO and internal R&D projects.
Image analysis
Acquire brightfield and fluorescence images using slide scanners or microscopy systems.
Perform quantitative image analysis.
Maintain histology image database.
Quality control
Follow and develop SOPs.
Maintain histology quality control records.
Perform equipment calibration and maintenance.
Ensure traceability of all samples.
Support laboratory accreditation and validation documentation.
Documentation
Record experimental data accurately.
Analyze and summarize results.
Prepare validation reports.
Contribute to research proposals, technical reports, and result reports.
Yêu cầu
Education: Master's degree in biology, biotechnology, oncology, pathology, or any related field.
Experience
Preferred:
● ≥1 year of hands-on histology experience.
● Experience with paraffin embedding and microtomy.
● Experience with H&E, IHC, IF staining.
● Brightfield/Fluorescence microscopy.
● Experience with organoids is highly preferred.
● Experience supporting CRO or GLP studies is an advantage.
● Tissue documentation.
● SOP development.
● Laboratory documentation.
Knowledge of molecular biology techniques (DNA/RNA extraction, qPCR, Western blot) is an advantage.
