Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Retail Strategic Initiatives & Business Analytics

Work closely with the Procurement Leaders to identify, prioritize, and execute high-impact strategic initiatives (including identifying and launching high-potential business lines/ brands/ suppliers, building new capabilities to further business growth, etc) from end to end.

+ Present research findings and analysis to senior leaders;

+ Interface with internal senior stakeholders to ensure end-to-end implementation of initiatives.

Work closely with internal/ cross-functional teams on retail business-related topics (acquisition, sales optimization, margins improvement, inventory management, warehouse operations) for continuous improvement;
Assess business performances by developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance reporting, drive business decision making and propose constructive improvement;
Drive problem-solving and conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis on key business issues;
Improve and optimize the working process

2. Retail Margin Control & Improvement

Support business leadership with profitability insights and value-add analysis. Identify, track and drive margin optimization initiatives;
Create profitability and predictive models based on sales input and evaluate post-onboarding supplier/ brand profitability via lookback reviews and implementation of action steps;
Perform week/month/year-end review process, including:

+ Review segment margin KPIs and results - trends and insights with sales & finance leaders;

+ Prepare sales and margin input for the forecast/ forecast process with sales & finance leaders;

+ Analyze and provide insights on the behavior of various sales price and margin components, including, but not limited to, sales credits, rebates, PO-/vendor-related transactions discounts, rebates, etc.

Supervise the team to manage the retail margin and the committed top deals/ promoted price provided by the Suppliers/ Brands;
Work closely with the Finance team to manage all financial processes/ reports in relation to the procurement process

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance and Economics
At least 3 years of experience. Background in e-commerce, retail sector, manufacturing, or supply chain management is preferred.
Solid business and financial analysis, and exceptional project management and communication skills (e.g. management consulting, business development, strategy & planning)
Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with high attention to detail

Strong logical - analytical thinking and critical thinking skills
Sense of urgency and quickly find solutions - Outstanding problem-solving skills
Self-motivated and able to manage your time efficiently
Strong team player with a collaborative style who thrives on delivering results. Humble, pragmatic and organized
Good in MS office program (Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills) and Basic to advance in SQL
Good command of English communication both written and verbal
