Seafreight Supervisor

Operations Management:
• Supervise daily import and export ocean freight operations.
• Ensure shipments are handled accurately and on time.
• Monitor shipment status and resolve operational issues proactively.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, local regulations, and company SOPs.
• Coordinate with overseas offices, carriers, agents, and vendors
Leadership Responsibilities:
• Lead, coach, and develop the Seafreight Operations team.
• Allocate workloads and monitor team performance.
• Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
• Train new employees and promote continuous improvement
Customer Service
• Ensure timely and professional communication with customers.
• Handle escalated customer complaints and provide effective solutions.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction and service quality.
Carrier & Vendor Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines and service providers.
• Negotiate operational solutions to minimize delays and additional costs.
• Monitor carrier performance and service quality
Financial & Cost Control
• Ensure accurate job costing and invoicing.
• Monitor profitability and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Approve operational expenses within delegated authority.
• Minimize operational losses and prevent billing errors.
Compliance & Quality
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.
• Monitor operational KPIs and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Support internal and external audits.
Reporting Line
• Reports to: Branch Manager
• Supervises: Seafreight Operations Executives and Coordinators
