Senior Accountant

Position Summary: The Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in the finance department, overseeing the accurate and timely execution of accounting tasks, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position requires an individual with a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in financial reporting, budget analysis, and tax compliance within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct variance analysis and financial statement reviews to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
Collaborate with the Chief Accountant to develop and implement internal controls and policies to enhance the integrity of financial processes.
Manage the budgeting process, working closely with various departments to compile and analyze financial data for budget preparation and review.
Ensure tax compliance, including the preparation and filing of tax returns, and liaising with tax authorities as required.
Assist in the coordination and preparation for annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
