You will be part of SMG Real Estate Engineering, a remote-friendly department of 80+ engineers located in four countries (Switzerland, Serbia, Germany & Vietnam)

You will belong to the Platform Engineering Team. The team is responsible for providing both the tools our development teams use to manage the lifecycle of our product and the experience of using them.

Job Description

• Contribute to our internal development platform (IDP) by designing, implementing, and maintaining internal tooling and systems.
• Leverage TypeScript, AWS CDK, Serverless architecture, and event-driven microservices to create scalable and efficient solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to design, implement and monitor the effectiveness of internal tooling and common standards.
• Drive innovation by exploring and recommending new technologies and approaches to solve complex problems.
• Identify opportunities for improving the overall developer experience and happiness.

• Fluency in English, with strong verbal communication skills.
• 4+ years' experience in a similar role.
• Strong experience in [protected info], TypeScript, and associated tooling.
• Strong experience with GitHub Actions or similar.
• Experience with AWS and serverless services.
• Familiarity with event-driven microservice architecture.
• Proficiency in writing and maintaining tests to ensure high-quality software.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for the team's deliverables.
