Responsible for coordinating the local corn commercial agenda by consolidating market intelligence, pricing direction, demand visibility, stock availability, execution status, logistics updates, position and P&L insights. The role provides timely commercial input and recommendations to support sales, management and relevant regional/global stakeholders in market alignment, pricing decisions, execution priorities and local trading opportunities.
Corn market view, pricing input and commercial decision support
- Understand corn price direction with the corn trade team in Singapore and relevant Singapore/Chicago stakeholders.
- Track key market drivers, target price, competitor price, traded level and volume.
- Provide real-time price guidance/input to the Sales/Marketing team and support pricing order alignment, including night-time coordination with Chicago when required.
- Prepare concise daily corn market recap for Sales, management and relevant stakeholders.
Demand, stock, S&D and trading visibility
- Analyze open demand from sales/marketing and structure customer demand, volume outlook and competitor programs.
- Gather local stock information from sales/marketing, warehouses, ports and river market; conduct port/physical stock checks where needed.
- Maintain visibility of local S&D, local conversion, trading updates, position and P&L. Identify opportunistic local trading opportunities based on structured local S&D analysis and follow up relevant global S&D updates for commercial alignment.
Corn and SBM execution / logistics coordination
- Monitor corn vessel execution with the Execution team and coordinate with the corn trade team in Singapore and relevant stakeholders on logistics plans.
- React promptly when product, shipment, logistics or execution issues arise and coordinate escalation where required.
- For SBM, monitor local SBM execution with assigned customers and liaise with the Execution team to follow up delivery status, issue resolution and customer-impacting execution matters.
- Support sales with timely execution information while sales remain accountable for customer communication and customer relationship management.
Stakeholder coordination, governance and role clarity
- Act as the local commercial coordination point between sales, National
Sales Manager, execution, logistics, warehouses, ports, corn trade team in Singapore and relevant Singapore/Chicago stakeholders.
- Provide product recommendations, price input, trading visibility and escalation support while maintaining clear separation from Sales ownership of customer negotiation, customer commitment and regional commercial accountability.
• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, supply chain, logistics, agriculture, international trade or related discipline.
• Additional commodity trading, commercial analytics or supply chain training are an advantage.
• Relevant experience in commodity commercial coordination, trading support, sales coordination, demand planning, execution/logistics coordination or agri-commodity market analysis.
• Experience with corn/grain/feed ingredients and cross-country coordination with regional/global trading teams is preferred.
• Strong market sense, analytical thinking, communication, stakeholder coordination, commercial discipline, attention to detail, urgency, integrity and ability to work under fast-changing market conditions.
• Able to influence without direct authority and maintain clear role boundaries with Sales, Execution and regional/global stakeholders.
