You will work across various departments ranging from Category Management (Buying & Planning), Finance, Customer Service, Marketing to Fulfilment delivering unique insights about our business, customers, and marketplace. ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will apply your passion for Data Analysis to play across the spectrum of data engineering, data science and translation of insights to English. You create relevant data models, cultivate, and cleanse data and use data analytics platforms to present meaningful dashboards and insights to the business.

THE IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE

In this role you will:

• Work closely with business areas to translate business strategy / goals into data-based deliverables through the development of data models that generate relevant insights .
• Partner with the business to plan data projects / requests.
• Define the approach to extract and manipulate large volumes of data using database / datawarehouse and cloud technologies, develop ELT processes where relevant.
• Source, collate, manipulate, and interrogate datasets from disparate sources to ensure validity, accuracy, and completeness using programming languages as required.
• Use platforms (Tableau, AWS QuickSight, Google Data Studio, Power BI) for analytics and visualisation.
• Develop dashboards and insights reports for the business.
• Clearly convey findings / recommendations to stakeholders.
• Run periodic and ad-hoc reporting as planned.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

You will have experience producing data insight presentations and reports, managing analytics projects, and extracting data from various sources. You have built your expertise in data mining, data analytics and statistical modelling that include proficiency in programming languages (Python, R) and BI platforms (Tableau, AWS QuickSight, Google Data Studio, Power BI) as well as database and datawarehouse technologies and cloud technologies to an expert level. Your ability to work with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders to projects to specification in the agreed timeframes will help us provide a seamless customer experience to the business.

EXPERIENCE AND MINDSET TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE REQUIRES

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• 4+ years proficiency in any of the following programming languages: Python, R
• 4+ years of proficiency in any of the following BI platforms: Tableau, AWS QuickSight, Google Data Studio, Power BI
• 4+ years of Experience with database and datawarehouse technologies
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience in data mining, data analytics and statistical modelling of large data sets
• Experience with AWS or GCP cloud technologies
• Strong presentation and visualisation skills
• Business acumen to turn data into insight that are relevant
• Strong organisational skills resulting in effective delivery to deadlines
• Good written and oral communication skills in English
• 4+ years stakeholder management
