Senior Laboratory Technician - Minerals

The Senior Laboratory Technician is responsible for supporting smooth laboratory operations, reviewing test results, developing new testing methods and maintaining compliance with quality and QHSE requirements. The role also contributes to productivity improvement, cost optimization and laboratory capability development.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare samples, conduct laboratory testing and complete assigned tasks accurately within the committed turnaround time.
Review test results before submission to the Customer Service team for client reporting.
Review test methods, SOPs and client manuals, and prepare the necessary resources to ensure testing activities meet all applicable requirements.
Research and develop new testing methods to expand laboratory capabilities and meet client requirements.
Maintain the laboratory quality management system, including SOPs, forms, guidelines, method validation, equipment calibration and ISO/IEC 17025 compliance.
Review complaints and claims, investigate relevant issues and implement appropriate corrective actions.
Troubleshoot equipment issues, support repairs where possible and act as backup for the Laboratory Supervisor when required.
Ensure QHSE compliance while supporting productivity improvement, efficient resource utilization and operational cost savings.
