Job purpose:
The Finance & Reporting Senior Manager is an important position within Finance & Accounting function, and is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial and operational reporting to support strategic and management decision-making. This role oversees the consolidation, analysis and presentation of financial results for both local management and Regional Office, ensuring compliance with internal policies, IFRS17 and local accounting standards. By driving reporting excellence and analytical efficiency, supports performance monitoring, and contributes to the SLV's financial success
Major accountabilities:
Financial Reporting
1. Management Report
• Review and validate Bond Reports prepared by Treasury, ensuring data accuracy, reasonableness, and compliance with reporting standards.
• Conduct checking, analysis the Investment Financial result and works closely with ALM/ Valuation on the concerns related to IFRS investment data
• Prepare and peer review with the accounting team on the FMC (Fee Management Charges) of UL/Pension Funds
• Prepare the IFRS monthly net income and financial variance analysis to be used for critical financial decisions all while ensuring that thorough analysis has been completed and Key ICFR Controls have been executed.
• Interpret data related to the business; interpreting the meaning of information for others - translating or explaining what information means and how it can be used.
• Conduct Business Overview under local ledger and provide commentary for variance.
• Other management reports
2. IFRS Closing and Reports
• Work closely with RO/CO, Actuarial, Accounting, IT and other departments to deliver closing timeline and control the IFRS closing process
• Actively lead and/or engage in the process improvement including current processes and IFRS 17 processes.
• Manage and control Expenses and commission Hyperion Allocation Process
• Lead the setting up or enhancement of Hyperion system, ensuring alignment with IFRS 17 requirement
• Manage and control QUTA, Green Button process
• Setup the mapping between local and IFRS code blocks (accounts, cost center, MP, etc.,)
• Conduct Testing and set up mapping NDIC, new products related to IFRS ledger
• Control IFRS manual adjustment, IFRS GL reconciliation, IFRS Closing Signoff.
• Manage IFRS financial statement and RAC reports
• Review and manage FMC booking process
• Other tasks related to IFRS Closing and Reporting
3. Regulatory Reports
• Manage and prepare MOF, IAV, Statistic Department reports
• Deep dive analysis and provide the explanation for any variance or discrepancy in regulatory reports
• Coordinate cross-functions/teams on the concerns related to regulatory reports.
• Prepare, deep dive the variance and work closely with stakeholders on the statistical reports
• Support External Audit on the concerns related to regulatory reports
• Ad-hoc request related to VAS financial analysis
Policy
• Review and update F&A policies, procedures and operating guidelines to ensure alignment with corporate standards, local regulations, and IFRS requirement
• Coordinate with related departments to identify policy gaps, proper documentation for governance and audit purposes
• Work closely with Legal teams to manage PAC approval and notification processes, ensuring adherence to governance and regulatory protocols.
• Lead the rollout and adoption of new or revised policies and guidelines, including planning and delivering training sessions and walk throughs to ensure effective understanding and execution.
4. Others
• Validate MEUC/Model for other departments
• Peer checking on Bond report
• Other IFRS projects

Specialized knowledge:
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet established deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Detail oriented, well organized, self-starter.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint and Sun/SAP system and ability to learn new system.
• Adaptable, flexible and self-motivated in a fast paced and frequently changing business environment with a 'can-do' attitude.
• Ability performs well under pressure.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders

Education and experience:
• 7+ years working experience in a financial planning reporting & analysis position or a relevant role
• University graduate with professional qualifications in accounting and/or auditing. CPA, ACCA is an advantage.
• Experience in life insurance industry and IFRS 17 is an advantage.
