Formulating the yearly sales strategy and regular updates as required with the Senior Management / Director of Sales and Marketing / Area Operations Manager.
- Working with the marketing team to form a sales plan that is strategically supported by the marketing effort.
- Working with the revenue team to design rate plans and advertising special promotional rates to increase bookings over need periods, and maximizing rates over high seasons.
- Analyzing current client base or target markets for the hotels.
Leads the sales team in daily implementation of the sales strategy.
- Overseeing room sales department and ensure implementation of sales operational processes and procedures.
- Monitoring leads and contacts gathered by the Sales Executives.
- Maintaining proper servicing of accounts.
- Networking with special event planners to encourage hotel bookings.
- Maintaining positive relationships with clients to encourage repeat and recurring business.
- Devising new ways to expand the client base.
- Managing the growth of current database of bookers, decision makers and guests who book through the sales department.
- Overcoming hesitations of clients to close a sale.
- Overseeing distribution of marketing materials.
- Addressing and resolving any issues or complaints regarding sales.
- Ensuring Sales Team follow up payment of accounts with corporate clients who have payment terms.
- Performing administrative functions such as the preparation of reports on current and future group bookings, organization and filing of transactional documents; monitoring sales target achievement of sales executives; submission of proposals and contracts; and overall management of accounts.
- Conducting field calls to clients to identify potential business.
- Initiating telemarketing and sales blitz efforts and monitor and report on progress.
Ensuring awareness of current market conditions and efforts of competitive set and any new entrants.
- Strategizing and innovating market intelligence and competitive information through marketing research and competition check.
- Attending to all events which maximize sales opportunities such as travel and trade shows and sales blitz.
- Managing relationship with the key accounts.
- Assuming responsibility in maintaining the relationship with key decision makers.
- Meeting with representatives from companies to explain the hotel's merits and amenities.
Other Responsibilities
- Understanding and ensuring continued update and implementation of the relevant policies, procedures and service delivery standards of the sales department
- Understanding and ensuring continued update and implementation of the human resources policies, procedures and code of discipline; while promoting management, team and cross department support, leadership, professionalism and good relations.
- Maintaining and promoting communication efficiency for general and work specific information, conduct of regular meetings and / or discussions on work activities, service delivery, and continuing work system improvement.
- Monitoring the activities of the sales executives and coordinators while providing training and coaching in implementing effective reservation procedures; monitoring and evaluating team members' performance to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Performing other related duties and functions assigned by the DOSM and DOS.
Yêu cầu
- Proven performance record of at least 5 years working in hospitality operations, with 3 years as a Senior sales manager or equivalent in a dynamic hotel, international assignments and pre-opening experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality management, business management, marketing, or equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Vietnamese and English, other languages a plus.
- Strong leadership skills; good at coaching and empowering others.
- Achieving business results and showcasing analytical thinking, concern for order and quality, customer service orientation and managing organizational resources; demonstrates high-level planning, organizing and coordinating, problem solving and judgment.
- Strong in interpersonal relationships and conflict management, guest/client development, impact and influencing; active listening, understanding and responding to feedback and requests; is service-oriented and demonstrations teamwork and cooperation.
- Ability to think critically, offer solutions, anticipate problems and provide action plan formulation and provide high level of attention to detail.
- Embraces team and system diversities, organizational and team interrelationships at multiple levels.
- Computer literacy, knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Hotel operations systems and POS.
- Managerial, numeracy, reporting, decision-making, problem solving.
