Mô tả công việc
- Develop software and tools to enhance the Visual Effects (VFX) pipeline.
- Write and/or maintain plugins and extensions for 3rd party packages used in the pipeline.
- Analyze new requirements and determine the best solution (depending on priorities, feasibility, etc.).
- Educate and support artists in using the pipeline and its tools.
- Work with production and artists to troubleshoot and fix problems.
- Update and maintain existing tools and workflows as required.
- Research and study industry related techniques and tools.
Required abilities:
-Quickly write/modify working code.
-Understand and adapt someone else's code.
-Learn new languages (mostly scripting) and APIs when required.
-Motivation and autonomy in learning new applications/tools.
-Good debugging skills.
-Easily switch between multiple tasks.
Yêu cầu
- Strong software development skills (algorithmic, scripting, debugging, etc.).
- Python proficiency.
- Experience in UI development, preferably Qt (concepts + design).
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Experience developing using tools APIs.
- Familiar with Linux.
- Basic shell scripting knowledge (Windows + Linux).
Desired skills:
-Knowledge of MEL (Maya) scripting.
-Experience with PyQt and/or PySide.
-Familiarity with Digital Content Creation packages (Maya, Nuke, Houdini, Unreal, etc.).
-Basic knowledge and understanding of VFX/CGI concepts and workflows.
-Experience using Ftrack, Shotgun, or other production management system.
-Basic MongoDB knowledge.
