JOB SUMMARY
The Shoe Shine Attendant is responsible for creating a memorable and rewarding experience for the hotel's guests. This includes providing professional and courteous service to each and every guest, exceeding guest expectations through positive interactive skills, performing shoe shining tasks as well as providing consultation and advice on shoe care and self-care of shoes.
JOB SPECIFIC TASKS
Cleans and polishes footwear for guests, including, but not limited to: removing surface dirt, removing grime and old polish or wax, applying new polish, buffing footwear, other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Provide consultation and advice on shoe care.
• Maintain accurate records of shoe shine transactions.
• Responsible for monitoring and maintaining supply levels.
• Immediately reports calls for cleaning requests, such as spills and bio hazards in the shoe shine area.
• Responsible for maintaining the Company standards of service to guests and coworkers at all times.
• Communicates clearly and professionally with co-workers and guests at all times.
• Ensures the Company standards of cleanliness and appearance for shoe shine areas, which include, but is not limited to; maintaining the cleanliness and order of the shoe shine stand.
• Works with safety as a priority, and follows company safety standards.
• Knows and adheres to Company policies and procedures, embrace company culture and take pride in the resort and amenities.
• Understands and is well versed in the hotel features and services including all outlets, hours of operation, activities and events available to guests.
• Attends required training classes and incorporates new knowledge into daily work practices.
• Looks for opportunities to assist peers, guests, other departments or leaders at all times.
• Awareness of guest experience at all times, smiles and makes eye contact.
