1. Product Development & Technical Review
Review customer tech packs, specifications, and construction requirements.
Analyze garment feasibility before costing and production.
Identify manufacturing risks and propose solutions.
Support merchandising team during quotation stage.
Lead technical review meetings before sampling.
2. Sample Development
Manage prototype, fit, salesman, pre-production, and size-set samples.
Ensure samples comply with:
Measurement specifications
Construction requirements
Fabric performance requirements
Customer standards
3. Pattern & Fit Management
Supervise pattern making and grading.
Validate patterns before production.
Lead fit sessions and coordinate comments.
Responsibilities include:
Pattern corrections
Size grading
Shrinkage management
Fabric consumption optimization
4. Production Technical Support
Provide technical guidance during bulk production.
Support production teams regarding:
Sewing methods
Machine selection
SMV improvement
Operation breakdown
Productivity improvement
5. Quality & Compliance
Work closely with QA and QC teams.
Ensure:
Technical requirements are understood by production.
Critical quality points are identified.
Corrective actions are implemented.
Review:
Defect trends
Root causes
CAPA plans
