Role: In the role of a Material Planning Manager, you would be responsible for managing all materials, owned purchased materials and customers' materials. You must make sure the materials needed for production are supplied in the right quantity following strictly inventory policy. It's your duty to manage and clean the nonconforming stock to avoid space shortage at WH and aging inventory.
This Position reports to Supply Chain Manager
Duties will include and not be limited to:
• Develop best practices in order to elevate the Material Planning Accuracy
• Ensures that the MRP system is in place, is effective, data is accurate and resolved any issues as required.
• Constantly ensure that we maintain optimum inventory levels
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Designs, develops and implements flexible solutions to aid business efficiency, drive process improvement and add value.
• Recalibrate material forecast models periodically by analyzing predictions vs. actuals supply patterns and making appropriate model revisions.
• Consolidation and Analysis of the annual and rolling material forecast.
• Reconcile supply, demand and new product plans at both detail and aggregate level and tie to the business plan
• Acquire a deep understanding of the demand drivers at select customers and ensure that the models are calibrated as needed.
• Daily interaction with all functions to manage in and out of materials and keep high service level to all internal customers.
• Input and hold responsibility for Material Planning budgets monthly
• Sets and executes action plans for aging and nonconforming inventory.
• Be a back-up for production planner if neccessary
• Takes ownership of any material planning issues and the execution of corrective actions.
• Maintain good relationship with suppliers, is the key person in managing supplier's performance.
• Oversees the material planning processes for accuracy, timeliness and improvement.
• Sets and executes action plans for reducing inventory cost, while maintaining material requirements.

• Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements
