Accountant (Tax & IT industry)

Title: Senior Accountant
Job Summary:
The General Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. This role works closely with internal departments and external auditors to ensure the integrity of financial information.
Scope Of Work:
Financial Reporting:
Record and reconcile daily accounting transactions to the ERP system
Prepare monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
Tax and Compliance:
Prepare and submit tax returns (VAT, CIT, FCT) in accordance with applicable tax regulations.
Ensure compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), tax regulations, and the Company's accounting policies.
Prepare statutory reports for government authorities, including loan reports, statistical reports, and investment evaluation reports, as required.
Ad-hoc Tasks:
Coordinate with external auditors, tax authorities, banks, and other regulatory agencies as required.
Review vendor contracts from an accounting and tax compliance perspective for internal procurement.
Participate in process improvement initiatives and finance-related projects.
Perform other duties assigned by the Chief Accountant.
Skills and Experience:
MUST:
Bachelor's degree in
Accounting, Auditing, or a related field
.
At least
4 years of experience in accounting
, including
at least 2 years of experience in an IT company
. Experience in an
accounting or tax consulting firm
is a plus.
Strong knowledge of
Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS)
and current
tax regulations
, including
VAT, FCT, CIT, and PIT
.
Detail-oriented
, with good
logical thinking, cross-department coordination, and multitasking skills
.
Nice to have:
Good command of English
, particularly in
reading and writing
.
Experience working for a
Japanese-invested (FDI) company
is preferred.
Experience with
ERP systems, especially SAP
, is a strong advantage.
