Assistant Manager Capacity Planning & Revenue Management

Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager - Capacity Planning & Revenue Management is responsible for optimizing the use of aircraft cargo capacity to maximize revenue while ensuring operational feasibility. This role involves analyzing demand, forecasting cargo flows, managing allotments, and implementing pricing strategies. The role requires close coordination with sales, operations and sales planning teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Capacity Planning:
• Analyze aircraft payload and belly capacity across the network.
• Forecast cargo demand by route, season, and commodity type.
• Allocate capacity between various markets and products (e.g., express, perishables, general cargo, electronics and high-tech).
• Develop and update long-term and short-term cargo capacity plans.
Revenue Management:
• Monitor booking trends, yields, and load factors to optimize revenue.
• Implement dynamic pricing strategies based on demand and market conditions.
• Manage space allocations and overbooking strategies to minimize backlog.
• Use revenue management systems/tools to evaluate cargo opportunities and improve profitability.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
• Create performance reports and dashboards to monitor KPIs (e.g., cargo load factor, yield per kg, revenue per ton-kilometer).
• Conduct post-flight and historical analysis to assess strategy effectiveness.
Stakeholder Coordination:
• Liaise with sales teams to balance market needs and capacity constraints.
• Collaborate with network and schedule planning to align freighter & belly cargo capacity with freight demand.
• Support ground operations, flight planning with accurate load plans and uplift forecasting.
System & Process Improvements:
• Contribute to system enhancement initiatives (e.g., revenue management tools, booking platforms).
• Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency in planning and revenue processes.
