Assistant Manager - Logistic & Warehouse

To plan, organize and carry out the entire local distribution, courier operation, raw material and finished goods stores operations in order to ensure timely delivery of goods to the customer.
1. Refer to terms and references of in/outbound logistical operations, comply with rules / regulations and prepare relevant documents in order to ensure the smooth delivery of goods to the customer.
2. Co-ordinate with internal departments, customers' courier services, transport agents, Customs and local authorities and deliver the goods to the customers while ensuring the completion of pre/post shipment documentation.
3. Carry out regular customer visits and provide improved customer service.
4. Manage raw material & finished goods stores operations, provide improved service to user department and maintain highest level of inventory accuracy.
5. Negotiate quotation and short listing of couriers / forwarders and packing material vendors in order to secure better trade terms and vendor base.
6. Preparing reports/comparisons of logistics and assist with management decision making.
7. Liaise with external parties and represent PIV in order to facilitate smooth functioning of the import/export processes.
8. Ensure timely payments of duties, taxes, levies, etc, in order to avoid incurrence of demurrage/penalties and maintain reputation of the organization.
9. Prepare and monitor budget to ensure effective use of resources and any significant variance is traced in advance in order to take timely precautions.
10. Monitor and ensure effective utilization of the SAP system including new developments and troubleshooting in order to maximise effective utilisation of SAP system.
11. Provide regular reports to governing bodies or any other statutory body and effective utilize the deferred taxation facility and other value-added services, as applicable.
12. Check & validate all bills for freight charges, local suppliers and forward for payments.
13. Take leadership in the application of relevant Customs regulations to ensure compliant customs operations in the country.
14. Responsible for driving compliance with all import/export activities to meet all country procedures and processes.
15. Manages the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient, cost-effective, and lawful execution of all import/export activities.
16. Manage EPE customs inspection processes, including preparation and submission of required documentation.
17. Ensure proper classification of goods using HS codes and accurate declaration of key elements.
18. Monitor and resolve any issues related to customs clearance.
