(Assistant) Manager, Sustainability

Position Objective
This is a critical asset-facing role responsible for translating the Group's Net Zero and decarbonisation strategy into tangible outcomes for Vietnam BU's commercial, industrial & logistics, and residential assets.
The successful candidate will function as an internal sustainability consultant, partnering directly with Business leads, Asset Managers, and Management to optimize asset performance through the planning and execution of sustainability initiatives. You will be the key sustainability partner to the Portfolio & Asset Management teams (driving asset value and operational efficiency), Technical Services (executing green retrofits and certifications), and Corporate Planning (feeding into long-term corporate strategy and budgets). You will bridge the gap between high-level Group reporting requirements and on-the-ground engineering reality - ensuring Vietnam's data and projects are always "Group-ready". You will also be a steward of the company's community investment mission, driving social impact initiatives that strengthen Frasers Property Vietnam's reputation as a responsible corporate citizen.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Asset-Level Data Governance, Reporting & Performance (In support of Portfolio & Asset Management / Corporate Planning teams)
• Lead asset-level ESG data governance for the Vietnam portfolio (energy, water, waste, carbon), ensuring rigorous validation, trend analysis, and audit-trail documentation before submission for the Vietnam portfolio's GRESB assessment, annual reports, and ISSB/TCFD disclosures.
• Support Group-level reporting needs by providing high-quality, verified asset data and performance narratives-including inputs required for the Group's debt financing and investor communications.
• Partner with Portfolio Management and Finance to align local data reporting cycles with Group-wide deadlines, ensuring Vietnam's numbers are always accurate and audit-ready.
• Manage the external assurance/verification process for Vietnam's ESG data, establishing robust internal controls and clear data ownership across Business Units.
2. Decarbonisation CapEx, Grants & Green Certifications (In partnership with Technical Services & Asset Management teams)
• Partner with Technical Services to identify, scope, and execute sustainability-focused CapEx projects (e.g., chiller plant optimization, solar PV installation, LED retrofits, Building Management System [BMS] upgrades).
• Develop robust business cases for these initiatives-calculating ROI, NPV, payback periods, and NOI impact-to secure approval from Asset Management and Corporate Planning.
• Actively monitor relevant government and NGO policies (e.g., energy efficiency incentives, green building subsidies) to identify, apply for, and secure grants to offset capital costs.
• Manage the end-to-end process for green building certifications and renewals (LEED, EDGE or Singapore Green Mark), coordinating with Technical Services on engineering compliance and third-party consultants.
3. Climate Risk, Resilience & Strategic Planning (In support of Corporate Planning team)
• Provide high-quality local asset inputs (flood risk maps, local regulatory carbon pricing scenarios) to feed into the Group's Climate Value-at-Risk (CVaR) platform.
• Support the Investment Management team with ESG due diligence inputs for potential new investments or divestments, ensuring alignment with the Group's portfolio decarbonisation targets.
4. Community Investment & Social Impact (CSR) (in partnership with Corporate Communications & Stakeholder Engagement)
• Drive the execution of Frasers Property Vietnam's community investment initiatives, aligned with the Group's three primary focus areas: Environment, Health & Well-being, and Education.
• Lead the local coordination of Frasers Community Month - an annual Group-wide initiative that rallies employees, tenants and partners for community giving.
• Manage partnerships with key local organizations and NGOs such as the Vietnam Red Cross Society to support CSR-related initiatives
• Support the company's recognition as one of the top sustainable businesses for the Community by ensuring robust documentation and reporting of social impact metrics.
• Track and report on community investment KPIs, including volunteer hours contributed, funds distributed, and number of beneficiaries reached.
5. Cross-Functional Stakeholder Engagement & Capability Building
• Act as the primary sustainability point-of-contact for Vietnam's Asset Managers and Technical Services leads, influencing operational budgets and procurement decisions to embed ESG criteria.
• Design and deliver tailored sustainability training for relevant internal and external counterparties to build local capacity and ownership.
• Support the Commercial/Leasing teams by providing asset-specific green certification data and decarbonisation commitments for tenant RFPs/RFIs.
• Partner with Corporate Communications to develop content that showcases the company's sustainability and community impact achievements for internal and external audiences.
