We're looking for a passionate Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a joint role in building scalable, high-performance backend services that power the future of education. You'll work closely with product managers, tech lead,
designers, and frontend
developers to architect and deliver robust solutions using modern Java technologies.
Develop, test, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs using Java
Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to define, refine, and implement functional and technical requirements.
Integrate backend services with frontend components, ensuring seamless end-to-end experiences.
Optimize databases and backend logic for performance and cost-efficiency in cloud environments.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code aligned with internal standards.
Participate in planning, estimations, retrospectives, and ongoing agile development workflows.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of backend development experience, with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot or equivalent Java frameworks.
Strong proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases, and performance tuning techniques.
Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs
Deep understanding of security protocols like OAuth2, JWT, and best practices in data privacy and protection.
Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
Experience working in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps-oriented environments.Familiarity with microservices architecture
Contributions to open-source projects or technical content creation. Understanding of integration of AI and data tools/ services into system.
