Business Development Air / Ocean / Door to Door

PURPOSE
This position is responsible for developing locally controlled business, both export and import, Air and Ocean Freight. Manage own sales activity to corporate to team and other department.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Position reports to Executive Manager - Corporate Planning / Global Business Development Department
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer & Business Development
External:
1. Identify and develop potential, sustainable customer relationships
2. Develop and maintain strong existing customer high level relations
3. Sales lead pipeline creation & manage own sales expansion activities
4. Air and Ocean Freight / door to door and other value added services to the customers
Internal:
1. Provide local market specific information to Executive Manager to facilitate business performance review & evaluation.
2. Support Executive Manager to devise, fine tune and implement overall sales and marketing strategy and directives.
3. Drive market profiling and customer/competitor research & analysis activities to understand and identify market opportunities and challenges
4. Manage Sales Pipeline and share latest status to Executive Manager to get support
5. Development of focus trade lanes with a view to start new services or addition on more services on the existing trade lanes
6. Drive day to day discussions related to business with the colleagues in the network countries
