1. Team Management:
o Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team.
o Set sales targets, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
o Coach sales team members and addresses strengths and weaknesses in their performance to broaden their sales skills and move them forward in their careers; drives results in key areas of the
Business Development business plan, including profit, revenue growth, administration, and reporting.
o Work with team members to develop joint action plans, review sales calls objectives, and conduct post call reviews.
o Conduct training on product and service techniques that enable team members to successfully penetrate and execute contracts.
o Communicate market trends and competitor information to team member and work with senior management to establish local business development initiatives.
o Ensure staff development by coaching and providing feedback and verifying that employees have career goals and plans
o Conduct performance evaluations and resolve individual and group performance issues.
2. Sales Strategy & Planning:
o To be responsible for an assigned sales plan requiring the generation of new business within existing or new accounts and the retention of existing accounts.
o Apply knowledge of customer business models and operating structures and offers logistic sales solutions that support the customers strategic business objectives.
o Apply knowledge of the features and business applications of services, products and customer-facing technology offerings and solutions.
o Apply supply chain and logistics knowledge of the flow of materials, information, and finances involved in manufacturing and distributing products.
o Apply knowledge of core business and of freight structure and operations to resolve problems, make decisions and achieve business objective.
o Identify opportunities for advancing skills and capabilities.
3. Customer Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
o Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
o Participate in customer meetings to present proposals and sell the value of solutions, and conducts higher revenue account customer calls to share sales expertise with the team.
4. Revenue Growth:
o Drive sales growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
o Manage pricing strategies and negotiate contracts with clients.
5. Reporting & Analysis:
o Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management.
o Use data and analytics to assess sales performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
o Use reporting tools to assess account performance; train sales team on use of tool
o Monitor sales reports for gain/loss trends, use performance quality measures, and communicate and support sales strategy initiatives.
o Monitor the year-to-year customer base to uncover competitive gaps in the international market, find new opportunities, and implement competitive initiatives.
6. Collaboration:
o Collaborate with operations to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth delivery of services/products.
o Collaborate across functions to develop customer solutions and provide expertise.
o Provide internal and external customer support through product training and customer follow-up on problem resolution.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
