Position Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial
Business Development Manager to drive the growth of ZLC's business in Vietnam. Extending ZLC's existing customer relationships from China to local market and securing new business. The ideal candidate will leverage ZLC's existing resources and local partners' setups to achieve rapid, low-cost market penetration and sustainable growth.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Account Management & Growth:
• Serve as the primary lead for managing and developing relationships with assigned Asia MNC accounts in Vietnam.
• Develop and execute comprehensive annual account plans and budgets to drive revenue and volume growth across all ZLC products (Air, Ocean, Land, Contract Logistics).
• Understand customer supply chains deeply to identify opportunities and position ZLC as a reliable, strategic global partner.
2. Business Development & Sales Execution:
• Act as an "ice-breaker" to open doors with new local Chinese customers and develop new potential opportunities in the region.
• Manage the full sales cycle for strategic opportunities, from prospecting and negotiation to closing.
• Support the implementation of new business, ensuring a smooth handover to operational teams.
3. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
• Bridge efficient communication and collaboration between ZLC and the local partner, leveraging ZLC's commercial experience and the partner's operational capabilities.
• Work closely with Corporate
Account Managers and internal stakeholders (Operations, Customer Service, Product) to align strategies, processes, and customer communication.
• Run regular MBRs and QBRs with customers, presenting performance insights and strategic direction.
4. Operational Excellence & Problem Solving:
• Ensure operational challenges are resolved promptly to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Oversee the design and implementation of efficient operational setups, such as control towers, EDI connections, and data reporting.
• Manage Accounts Receivables for the assigned customers.
5. Market Intelligence & Planning:
• Conduct market research within the local market to identify trends and new business opportunities.
• Provide strategic input for regional planning and budget forecasting.
1. Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, key account management, or strategic sales within the international logistics/freight forwarding industry.
2. Knowledge & Skills:
• Strong ability to develop long-term account strategies and execution plans.
• Exceptional skills in building and maintaining relationships with senior client management and internal stakeholders.
• Experience with Chinese business culture is highly preferred. Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, matrix environment.
• Strong financial and process analytical skills.
• Fluency in both Mandarin and English is required.
