Job Overview
This position will be responsible for quantity and quality in selecting and
purchasing beans, maintaining sustainable relationships with fermenters/pod farmers, ensuring Marou has the best cocoa beans for the APAC region. Support the implementation of sustainability cacao development projects and strategies in terms of agronomy specialty in cacao trees.
Responsibilities
Cacao bean selection and purchasing
Responsible for quality in bean selection/ purchasing (based on Marou Internal Standard) for APAC region.
Responsible for quality in improving fermentation processes (Giving advice for Fermenters/farmers based on Marou Guideline)
Responsible for good practices of pre-fermentation process to ensure the best fermentation.
Annual fermentation training to suppliers to reach the standard quality of beans.
Cacao Sourcing Development
Survey and update the bean supply and market for the APAC region
Survey, expand, discover new potential pod farmers/ fermenters/ areas of cacao
Evaluation current practice, productivity, farming issue based on Internal Guideline / expert advice.
Relationship management
Maintain and develop the relationship with Suppliers/fermenters/ pod-farmers
Well management of cacao network from farmer to fermenter.
Coordinate with related departments to participate in projects to develop cacao beans
Solid communication with and provide support to trainer/ expert (if any)/ Line Manager
Contract/policy execution
Responsibility for execution of purchase contracts, bonus policies
Solid communication with, and/or provide support to finance and logistics team
Sustainability Development
Support for implementation of sustainability cacao development projects and strategy in terms of agronomy specialty in cacao trees, and quality for cacao bean fermentation.
Understand the risks of quality variation and proactively solve the issues raised regarding quality and farmer relationships.
Living income follow up and analysis for the whole APAC region for the next step of sustainable program.
Cooperate with Technical Advisor team for training farming practices.
Participate in the cacao traceability project by delivering training to fermenters on the use of mobile applications and ensuring the maintenance of the system platform - FA mapping by Traceverifier
Other tasks assigned by Manager/Head of Department.
Requirements
Graduated from University majoring in Food Technology, Biotechnology, Agriculture, Economic
2-5 years of experience working in the agriculture field and 2 years of experience working in Supervisor position.
Sensory ability is an advantage
Willingness to travel as required
Ability to communicate in English is good
Proficiency in MS Office (word, powerpoint, excel,...)
Good communication & negotiation skillsTeamwork skills

Working time: Monday - Friday
Working location: Binh Chieu Industrial Park, Thu Duc City, HCMC.
