About this job
The Data Analyst / Integration Specialist ensures secure, accurate data flows across the school's digital platforms. This role focuses on integrating API-based systems, automating reporting, developing analytics, and maintaining data architecture across SIS, LMS, and related platforms. The position plays a critical role in data quality assurance, strategic reporting, and interoperability.
Scope of the role
The Data Analyst/Technology Integration Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate, secure, and efficient data flow across the school's digital ecosystem. This includes managing system integrations between SIS, LMS, and third-party platforms; developing and maintaining data analytics dashboards; ensuring data quality and compliance; and supporting the implementation and operation of digital tools. The role serves as a key link between IT, academic, and administrative teams, enabling data-driven decision-making and facilitating seamless integration of educational technology.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Integration and System Management
• Design, implement, and maintain automated data integrations between SIS, LMS, and other third-party platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration errors, data inconsistencies, and sync failures.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to improve interoperability and performance.
2. Data Reporting and Analytics
• Develop and manage dashboards and reports to support academic, operational, and strategic decision-making.
• Ensure data accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across systems.
• Perform routine and ad hoc data analysis to support compliance, audits, and school improvement initiatives.
3. Data Quality and Security
• Perform data audits and resolve inconsistencies.
• Conduct periodic reviews of data access permissions and user roles.
• Collaborate with the SIS/LMS Manager to enforce data privacy and retention policies.
• Maintain a secure, reliable data environment.
4. Collaboration and Support
• Act as a liaison between IT, academic teams, and administrative departments to gather requirements and deliver data solutions
• Provide training and support for staff in accessing and interpreting reports and data dashboards.
• Support onboarding of new systems and ensure legacy data is accurately migrated and preserved.
5. Administration and Support
• Assist in the setup, customization, and maintenance of the LMS and SIS to align with instructional needs.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot LMS and SIS-related issues for users.
• Collaborate with IT and academic departments to ensure seamless integration of digital tools.
• Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and course structures in the LMS.
Additional duties
1. Predictive Analytics Development
Explore and implement predictive models to support student performance monitoring, enrolment forecasting, and resource planning.
2. Platform Evaluation and Pilot Testing
Support the evaluation and piloting of new digital tools or platforms, particularly those involving data analytics or system integration.
3. Documentation and SOP Development
Create and maintain clear documentation for data workflows, integration processes, and analytical tools to support continuity and onboarding.
4. Cross-Campus Data Coordination
Coordinate with campus-level staff to ensure consistency in data entry practices and system use, helping maintain high-quality, unified data sets.
5. Support for Accreditation and Compliance
Prepare data sets and analysis reports to support school inspections, accreditation processes, and regulatory compliance.
6. Support for Digital Transformation Projects
Collaborate on major IT and digital transformation initiatives, ensuring data architecture aligns with long-term goals and stakeholder needs.

KNOWLEDGE
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Analytics, or a related technical field.
EXPERIENCE
• 3+ years in a data or systems integration role.
• Proficiency with SQL, APIs, and data visualization platforms.
• Experience working with educational data systems (e.g., SIS, LMS).
• Hands-on experience with SIS platforms (e.g., Engage and PowerSchool)
