The Role: Deputy BD Manager
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Deputy BD Manager who will play a key part in supporting
business development activities by assisting in the management of bidding and tendering processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, solid project management skills, and in-depth knowledge of bidding strategies across multi-disciplinary design services.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, consultants, business partners and relevant external stakeholders;
- Participate in client meetings, networking activities, presentations and business development events, representing the Company professionally at all times;
- Identify and assess potential project opportunities; provide timely market, client and competitor intelligence to management;
- Support the BD Director in managing the full bidding and tendering process, from opportunity identification and go/no-go assessment through to tender submission, negotiation and contract award;
- Review and analyze tender documents, technical specifications, client requirements and contractual conditions;
- Lead the preparation of expressions of interest, capability statements, technical and fee proposals, tender submissions, project presentations and business cases;
- Work closely with technical teams to develop appropriate design approaches, scopes of services, deliverables, manpower resource plans, programmes and fee assumptions;
- Support bid strategy development, including partner selection, cost estimation, budgeting, financial analysis and risk mitigation, to enhance bid competitiveness;
- Identify and coordinate with suitable partners, subconsultants, subcontractors and suppliers for potential collaborations and tender opportunities;
- Prepare and maintain risk analysis templates for tenders and prospective opportunities, highlighting key technical, commercial, programme and contractual risks;
- Coordinate with internal business units and CPG Corporation offices in Singapore and other countries to leverage relevant expertise, experience and resources;
- Support the development and implementation of sector strategies and business opportunities aligned with the Company's architectural and multidisciplinary capabilities;
- Undertake market research and prepare reports on relevant market sectors, clients and project pipelines;
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Business Development Department.
