Job Description
Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily sales and public relations operations at the property level.
Build and maintain strong relationships with local tour operators, airlines, and destination management companies through scheduled visits and regular contact.
Maintain close ties with the Hotel Association and the Tourism Board.
Focus on travel partner programs and liaise with airlines to stay updated on group travel market trends.
Ensure the sales system is updated with complete guest and company profiles, along with call reports.
Track and manage all group and event files related to tours and travel in coordination with the management team; maintain regular follow-ups to support the Sales Team in securing business.
Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure pre- and post-event summaries are distributed, and meetings with clients and staff are conducted when necessary.
Update files related to advanced sales automation projects.
Achieve targeted room nights and meet departmental revenue goals.
Prepare weekly, monthly, and semi-annual group forecast reports.
Maintain and update the tour and travel mailing list to keep all contact information current.
Collaborate with the General Manager to set pricing strategies for various market segments.
Monitor market trends and adjust strategies based on changes in visitor arrivals by country.
Maintain a professional working relationship with all departments.
Execute sales, marketing functions, special projects, and other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Submit monthly sales reports, including call counts, activity summaries, performance vs. budget, major bookings, competitor insights, and upcoming projects.
Actively participate in sales meetings and briefings, proactively addressing challenges.
Support the General Manager in preparing market analyses, sales targets, marketing plans, and special programs, as well as reports for hotel management and ownership.
Uphold grooming and appearance standards when meeting clients or guests, or in hotel public areas.
Handle all arrangements for site inspections, media visits, guest relations, and follow-up after departure.
Communicate the spa concept to staff and ensure the promotion of wellness programs.
Perform other tasks as required by management.
Requirement
Minimum of 4 years' experience in sales.
Strong interpersonal skills, proficiency in English, and computer literacy.
Proven ability to drive results, with strong overall sales skills and effective telephone communication.
Solid knowledge of group and function space management.
Demonstrated expertise in group sales processes and related strategies.
Ability to maximize revenue through up-selling packages and creative F&B promotions.
Track record in achieving both individual and team goals.
Understanding of "need time" strategies as developed by revenue management.
Familiarity with all hotel departments and their functions.
Willingness to advance career, depending on experience and scope of prior roles.
