The Job
About the role
Data is the foundation of everything we do at TSC. We are looking for a Head of Data with experience in building data companies and a solid understanding of data products, data analytics, data governance, security, and quality. You are smart and can bridge business, technology, and data to find simple solutions to complex industry challenges. You understand the possibilities and challenges that are uncovered by modern AI solutions. We want to hear from you!
You will
- Create new strategies for acquisition, governance, security, and quality assurance of all of the company's data.
- Find new innovative ways to leverage our ever-growing data assets to build new product lines, with a constant focus on quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with business, technology, and data science teams to bring quality insights to the market.
- Lead data analytics efforts for both our internal BI needs and for our largest enterprise customers requiring customized insights
- Build and manage relationships and projects with strategic and channel data partners (external datasets, news providers, social media aggregators, ...)
- Design and lead the implementation of scalable data products in line with business processes, systems, and architecture
- Develop methodologies, processes, and frameworks to manage the data life cycle.
- Promote a culture where humans and machines work hand in hand to constantly increase the company's scalability, without compromising on quality
- Manage a team of skilled data professionals
- Report to the CTO in a very flat organization, with direct access to the CEO
Your Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in data management, analytics, or business intelligence, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing data strategies, managing data teams, and delivering large-scale data projects.
- Hands-on technical expertise in data management principles, data governance, data acquisition, data warehousing, big data technologies, and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, or SQL).
- Expertise in data visualization, business intelligence tools, and advanced analytics techniques, such as machine learning and AI.
- Excellent English interpersonal communication
- Innovative mindset with multinational management approaches to lead a global remote team
