Tasks
• General IT Maintenance & Support
• System & Network Administration: General administration of servers; manage security level; update anti-virus, software update; email administration (updates, anti-virus, anti-spam, logins); shared resources management (folders, printers, etc.).
• Server Maintenance: Update Windows server; update Anti-virus signature and schedule weekly full scan; improve server performance; clean system: Check disk free space, remove temporary files, and antivirus quarantine files; schedule Disk defragment; schedule server restart; schedule maintenance plan for database server; monitor backup system, tape cleaning, etc; schedule monitor local mail system, mail hosting, domain; schedule monitor specified software such as ERP, accountant software, etc.; monitor Intranet resources (shared folder, printer server, etc.), check data access permission; monitor internet access policies; schedule checks Event Viewer to detect and fix server problems.
• Workstations Maintenance: Disk space utilization, defragmentation of hard drives, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, fix registration problems, uninstall unused programs, temporary internet files purging, install necessary updates and service packs and more, creating/deleting E-mail accounts, statistics of usage.
• Other device maintenance: Telephone/answering machines, copy machines, printer care, card readers/attendance, educational applications, website support, sound equipment, computers/IPads/projectors, document readers, etc.
• Backups: Backup process & details for users & servers and others system is recorded in FIM File Information Manager.
• Licenses: Following up status of license installed and used.
• Library service: Manage and maintain the school's digital library systems and resources; support students and staff with access to online educational platforms, e-books, and digital databases; maintain records of library software licenses and subscriptions.
• Cyber Security: Monitor and enforce school-wide IT security policies; conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments; manage firewall rules and intrusion detection systems; respond to security incidents and breaches; provide staff and student awareness training on phishing, safe browsing, and data protection best practices.
• Access Rights: Create, manage, and revoke user accounts and access permissions across all school systems (network, email, ERP, shared drives); ensure access is granted on a least-privilege basis; conduct periodic access reviews and update permissions following staff changes (onboarding/offboarding).
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date IT documentation including network diagrams, system configurations, standard operating procedures, asset registers, and incident logs; ensure documentation is stored securely and accessible to authorised personnel.
• Password Administration: Enforce school-wide password policies in line with security standards; manage password resets and account lockouts; maintain a secure credential management system for IT infrastructure accounts; educate users on strong password practices and multi-factor authentication.
• Telephones: Configure and administer IP Panasonic telephone operator (PBX, and VoIP)
• Inventory Administration of IT and other technical school equipment
• Other Tasks related to data processing: Certificates, Developing Online-Questionnaires
• Admin Software
• Teacher Help Desk
• Implementation of Apps, e.g. workflow
•
IT Support for IGS external projects
• Cleaning dusts inside server and workstation, install cables safely and neatly.
Responsibilities
• Implementation of all assigned IT tasks within the fields mentioned above
• Ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and safety of all school data and IT infrastructure
• Proactive identification and resolution of IT issues to minimise disruption to school operations
• Compliance with school IT policies, data protection regulations, and relevant legal requirements
• Timely and professional communication with staff, teachers, and management regarding IT matters
• Regular reporting to the Head of Administration on the status of IT systems, ongoing projects, and incidents
• Supporting a positive and collaborative working environment within the administration team
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or a similar role
• Proficiency in Windows Server administration
• Knowledge of network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VPN, Wi-Fi)
• Experience with cybersecurity practices and tools
• Relevant certifications are an advantage
• Good communication skills in English
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and under pressure
• High sense of responsibility, reliability, and commitment to data confidentiality
