Legal Counsel (Senior Manager)

Senior Legal Counsel to manage legal and compliance matters for Buymed's e-commerce platform and TMT (Telecommunication, Media, and Technology) sectors in Vietnam, with potential exposure to regional markets. This role involves providing expert legal advice, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing contracts, and mitigating legal risks to support the company's operations and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Advisory for E-Commerce & TMT Sectors:
• Handle all legal matters related to the e-commerce platform and TMT sectors in Vietnam.
• Provide legal advice on operational matters including regulatory compliance, e-commerce laws, telecommunication, media, technology, healthcare, and pharmaceutical regulations.
Contract Management:
• Draft, review, revise, and manage various types of contracts.
• Support business teams in contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms while mitigating risks.
Compliance Management:
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
• Implement due diligence processes to enforce structured legal and compliance management within Vietnam or the region.
Litigation and Risk Management:
• Assist the Head of Legal and Compliance in managing key litigations/arbitrations when necessary.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings to safeguard corporate interests.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel for specialized cases.
Risk Analysis & Reporting:
• Review and report key findings related to existing or potential legal risks.
• Provide recommendations to mitigate risks from an operational perspective.
Post-License Compliance: Manage compliance reporting requirements for corporate platforms post-license issuance.
Counseling Executives: Provide accurate and timely counsel to executives on various legal topics such as labor law, partnerships, corporate finance, etc.
Strategic Collaboration: Work with management and the Head of Legal and Compliance to devise proactive or defensive legal strategies that align with business goals.
