Mechanical Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the guidance of the Engineering Department's Policy & Procedures you will maintain all aspects of the plumbing services, Kitchen and Laundry equipment's to the highest standards expected of a luxury hotel.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carry out repairs and maintenance of domestic hot/cold water systems, cooling water systems, storm and sanitary/sewer systems, irrigation/fountain water systems and swimming.
- Carry out repair and maintenance of Kitchen and Laundry equipments.
- Attend to replacement or new construction projects that may include GI, PVC and Cast iron piping and fabrication of necessary brackets and supports for installation.
- Attend to repairs or replacement of all bathroom/toilet fixtures in guest rooms, public areas and BOH areas.
- Clean all manholes and clear sewage and storm water line blockages using the electric drain auger machine or ropes and ring arrangement as required.
- Responsible for the de-scaling of the water system as and when required.
- Attend to all types of repair and maintenance work in the Hotel premises including any new additional / extensions to the Hotel or any other properties maintained by the Hotel.
- Keep an accurate log of work completed and material used.
- Responsible to report any potential hazard noted whilst in duty.
- Participate in the Hotel Energy Conservation Programme.
- Participate in the Hotel Emergency teams/Fire Brigade.
- Ensure that all work areas are cleaned after work has been carried out and loose materials stored.
- Comply with the Hotel's Health, Safety and Hygiene policy.
- Responsible to wear any protective equipment as designated while carrying out works which may be required to health and safety guidelines.
- Complete the other tasks which assigned by the leader.
