Weiheng Law Firm, Beijing Headquarters, is one of the largest law firms in China, with approximately 5,500 practicing lawyers and 40 offices worldwide.
We currently operate representative offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, focusing on providing comprehensive legal services to Chinese-invested enterprises in Vietnam.
Our clients mainly include manufacturing and investment enterprises, cross-border trading companies, construction contractors, and Chinese businesses seeking guidance on mergers & acquisitions, corporate establishment, investment, construction, and ongoing legal advisory services in Vietnam.
Due to business expansion, our Ho Chi Minh City office is seeking one Mid-level Vietnamese Lawyer (ideally born between 1993 and 1995) to work closely with senior Vietnamese and Chinese lawyers on a wide range of legal matters.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Mid-level Vietnamese Lawyer will work independently and collaboratively with Vietnamese and Chinese lawyers to provide both retainer and project-based legal services to clients. The key responsibilities of the position include:
• Draft, review, and translate contracts and legal documents; assist Chinese lawyers and senior Vietnamese lawyer in negotiations with clients' counterparties regarding transactions and investment procedures in Vietnam;
• Conduct legal research and apply a strong understanding of Vietnamese laws and regulations to advise clients on legal issues arising from their day-to-day business operations, including labour, construction, commercial transactions, intellectual property, logistics, real estate, taxation, and other regulatory matters;
• Assist senior Vietnamese lawyer or independently prepare advice letters, legal assessment, due diligence reports, and related legal documentation;
• Coordinate and implement legal procedures relating to company incorporation, investment projects, business operations, and mergers and acquisitions;
• Supervise, train and manage paralegals and junior-level lawyers;
• Draft or review periodic legal insights prepared by paralegals and junior-level lawyers;
• Manage legal files and perform other tasks as assigned by senior Vietnamese and Chinese lawyers.
Yêu cầu
• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Law;
• Possession of a valid Vietnamese Lawyer Practising Certificate is a must;
• Born between 1993 and 1995;
• At least 2 - 4 years of post-qualification experience as a practising lawyer at an international law firm or a reputable local law firm;
• Strong legal knowledge, analytical thinking, and drafting skills;
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, mind-mapping tools, and other office software;
• Strong legal research and information synthesis skills;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in legal English;
• High level of responsibility, ability to conduct independent legal research, and ability to work effectively in a team environment;
• Detail-oriented, with high standards of integrity and professionalism;
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic working environment;
• Available to start immediately.
