The Job

Pacific Cross Vietnam is seeking motivated and versatile Mid-level Software Developers to join our IT team.

The successful candidate will be involved in designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining business-critical applications that support our health and travel insurance operations.

We are looking for developers with experience in either Java or PHP development. Experience in AI is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users, project managers, AI engineers, and other developers to deliver software solutions.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design, develop and maintain web-based applications and RESTful APIs.
• Develop services and business logic using Java or PHP(experience in one of these technologies is sufficient).
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues in development, testing, and production environments.
• Provide production support and investigate application incidents when required.
• Maintain technical documentation and development standards.
• Support system integration activities and deployment processes.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt appropriate technologies to improve application quality and development efficiency.
• Other tasks assigned by management.

Your Skills and Experience

Technical Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of software development experience.
• Strong experience with at least one of the following:
  • PHP - Laravel or an equivalent framework preferred; or
  • Java - Spring Boot, REST APIs, Hibernate/JPA.
• Experience with frontend development using at least one of the following:
  • [protected info]
  • JavaScript / TypeScript
  • HTML5 and CSS3
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server(experience in one of these databases is sufficient).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and system integrations.
• Experience with Git and source control management.

Nice to have(but not mandatory)

• Experience with Flutter or mobile application development.
• Experience in developing or integrating AI-powered applications or services, including LLM, AI API, RAG, or AI-assisted workflows.
• Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or DevOps practices.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing business requirements.
