We're Hiring: R&D Specialist | Professional Experience Center (PEC) - Foreign Trade University The Professional Education Center (PEC) is a unit of Foreign Trade University (FTU), dedicated to bridging academic knowledge with professional practice. As a key pillar of the University's Career Development Integrated Training Model (CDIM), we accompany FTU students on their journey to connect learning with the labour market.
We're looking for an R&D Specialist to research, design, and pilot new professional-practice programmes that help raise the quality of career training for FTU students.
What you'll do:
Research labour-market trends, employer hiring requirements, students' skills gaps, and career-training developments in Vietnam and abroad
Turn these insights into professional-practice content and programmes tailored to each stage of our framework: Navigation - Specialization - Mastery - Inspire
Engage with stakeholders to gather the information needed for research and programme development
Design, pilot, and refine new professional-practice programmes
Collect feedback after each programme to drive continuous improvement
Collaborate with other Departments on the rollout of PEC's programmes and events
You'll be a great fit if you have:
A Bachelor's degree or above, in any discipline. FTU graduates are welcome to apply; for other universities, we'd love to hear from graduates in Economics, Management, Education, Information Technology, Data Science, or related fields
At least 1 year of full-time professional experience (internships don't count); a background in recruitment, training, product development, market research, or technology operations is a plus
A strong research mindset, with solid analytical and information-synthesis skills, and the ability to translate insight into concrete training content
Hands-on proficiency with generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.), plus a genuine curiosity for exploring new tools
Strong writing skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively
Basic project-management skills and a proactive, self-starting approach to work
A meticulous, responsible, independent way of working, and a genuine passion for education and student career development
