Sample Fabric Purchasing
• Purchase sample fabrics for Adidas development and sampling programs.
• Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and monitor order status from placement to delivery
• Ensure fabrics are procured and delivered according to development timelines.
• Coordinate urgent material requests to support development milestones
Supplier Management
• Communicate and coordinate with fabric mills, suppliers, and nominated vendors.
• Obtain quotations and compare supplier pricing, lead time, and service levels.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, MOQ, and payment terms where applicable.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
Development Support
• Work closely with Material Development, Merchandising, and Product Development
teams.
• Support fabric sourcing for new developments, seasonal projects, and innovation
requests.
• Ensure fabric information and specifications are clearly communicated to suppliers.
• Follow up on fabric sample submissions, lab dips, and development requests
Order Tracking & Reporting
• Monitor fabric sample delivery status and proactively resolve delays.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and reports.
• Update stakeholders on order status and material readiness.
• Prepare purchasing and supplier performance reports
Risk Management
• Identify potential supply risks and propose alternative solutions.
• Escalate critical issues that may impact development timelines.
• Coordinate recovery plans with suppliers and internal teams.
Process Improvement
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in purchasing processes.
• Improve purchasing efficiency, supplier responsiveness, and cost effectiveness.
• Participate in supplier evaluation and performance review activities.
