* Sample Room Management & Operations
Oversee daily operations of the Originals workshop/sample room, ensuring all samples are produced accurately and meet required timelines.
Assign tasks, manage workload, and supervise sample room technicians, stitchers, pattern makers, and support staff.
Ensure sample-making processes follow adidas standards, technical specifications, and sample milestones.
Control sample room capacity planning, resource allocation, and productivity tracking.
* Sample Development & Quality
Review sample requests from HQ/LO teams and clarify any unclear technical requirements.
Monitor all sample types for all stages
Audit each process in sample creation to ensure accuracy in each stage.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues during sample creation
Reporting the progress of sampling for each milestone of development phase.
Archiving sampling history and samples through all development stages.
* Collaboration & Cross-Functional Communication
Work closely with Product
Developers, Pattern Engineers, Materials team, Costing, and Tooling teams, etc. to ensure sample readiness.
Participate in pattern trials for new models; provide practical recommendations for optimization (stitching methods, jigs, pallets).
Support Development team in validating materials and advising on manufacturability during early stages.
Communicate progress, risks, and issues with HQ/LO in a timely manner.
* Process Improvement & Technical Excellence
Lead initiatives to improve workshop efficiency, including layout, workflow, machinery utilization, and skill development.
Identify constraints and propose solutions (new jigs, new processes, equipment upgrades).
Manage proper maintenance of machines, tools, and sample equipment.
Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and continuously enhance team skills through training, coaching, and performance evaluation.
* Data, Reporting & Compliance
Track and report sample delivery performance, quality KPIs, and workshop productivity metrics.
Ensure documentation of sample processes for future reference and reproducibility.
Guarantee compliance with adidas workplace standards, safety requirements, and confidentiality guidelines.
Minimum 15 years of experience in footwear sample room, technical development, or footwear manufacturing.
Good English proficiency.
Bachelor's degree in Footwear Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred).
Experience managing a team in a fast-paced sample room environment, ideally with global brand exposure (adidas/Nike/Puma, etc.).
Good leadership, strong communication, and team-building capabilities.
High attention to detail, strong problem-solving mindset.
Ability to work under tight deadlines.
