Responsible for delivering complex BIM models and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. Takes ownership of assigned project scopes, ensures model quality, and supports junior team members.
1. BIM Modelling & Delivery (40%)
Modelling & Documentation
Produce high-quality BIM models using Tekla for assigned project scopes.
Set up and maintain project BIM models in accordance with BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and company standards.
Deliver BIM outputs including models, drawings, quantity sheets, and reports on time and to specification.
Manage model data in CDE platforms (Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM360, or Dalux).
2. Coordination & Collaboration (25%)
Multidisciplinary Coordination
Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and MEP teams to ensure model integration and consistency.
Participate in BIM coordination meetings and clash detection sessions.
Facilitate model sharing and versioning across project teams.
Liaise with clients and
project managers on BIM deliverables and progress.
3. Quality Control (20%)
Model Quality Assurance
Conduct self-review and peer review of BIM models for accuracy, completeness, and code compliance.
Follow and enforce internal QA/QC procedures on all deliverables.
Ensure Level of Development (LOD) requirements are met at each project phase.
Report quality issues and non-conformances to the Lead BIM Engineer or BIM Team Leader.
4. Mentoring & Development (15%)
Junior Team Support
Mentor and guide BIM Engineers and Modelers in day-to-day technical tasks.
Support junior team members in resolving technical BIM challenges.
Contribute to internal training sessions and knowledge sharing within the BIM team.
Additional Responsibilities
Perform other tasks as assigned by Line Manager.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 4 years of BIM engineering experience including project delivery.
Proficiency in Tekla.
Experience with clash detection tools.
Familiarity with CDE platforms (Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM360, or Dalux).
Good English technical communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage project deliverables independently.
Essential
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of BIM engineering experience.
Proficiency in Revit, Allplan, or Civil3D.
Experience with clash detection and CDE platforms.
Good English communication skills.
Strong QA/QC awareness and commitment to model accuracy.
Desirable
Prior experience in a civil engineering, structural design, or construction-related company is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of German language or experience working in a German/European company environment is a plus.
