Are you an experienced communications expert with a passion for telling great stories and encouraging awesome colleagues? We are looking for a strong communication all-rounder to support our new LEGO factory in Vietnam?
The LEGO Group has bold growth plans in the Asia-Pacific region. The company will open a new factory in Binh Duong Province, Vietnam in 2024 to support long-term growth in the region and continue to reach more children with inspiring learning through play experiences.
We are seeking a communication generalist who enjoys variety and has a broad breadth of experience across external and internal communication to support this exciting agenda.

* This role will be working temporarily at LEGO temporary office in District 1, HCMC (shuttle bus is provided from Bien Hoa, Binh Duong to the office) and be relocated to Binh Duong in 2024.
Core Responsibilities:
1. External communication strategy & execution (80%)
• Lead the development and implementation of an annual external corporate communication plan to build the profile of the LEGO brand in Binh Duong Province and across Vietnam.
• Help establish the LEGO brand in Vietnam, with a focus on building awareness of the LEGO Group as an employer of choice and our brand values.
• External responsibilities will include but is not limited to, securing media coverage about the company and its activities related to social impact, sustainability and factory construction, nominating the company for relevant awards and recognition, and supporting events related to the new factory and building brand awareness.
• Lead local media contacts and local PR agency.
• Develop and implement a drumbeat of stories to share with local media and across the LEGO Group's external channels.
• Drive the social media communication agenda of LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam to support our brand strategy
2. Internal communications (20%)
• Initial responsibilities will include supporting with communications around the transition of the new General Manager and establishment of their leadership team.
• Partner with HR colleagues to create materials for new employee onboarding as the factory gets closer to opening.
• Ahead of the opening of the factory, develop and implement internal communication channels for the factory site. Once established, ensure smooth operation and timely updating of channels.
• Build and implement an annual internal communication plan to engage LEGO Group colleagues at the factory.
• Design and implement internal communication activities to strengthen two-way communication with all colleagues, promote and embed the LEGO Group culture throughout the site, and drive engagement with the LEGO Group and LEGO brand.
• Support the factory General Manager with key communication activities both internally and externally.
3. Employer branding
• Work with the talent attraction team on activity to attract talent to our new factory in Binh Duong Province, Vietnam.
4. Ways of working:
• Collaborate closely with government affairs and social impact teams to build a strong reputation for the LEGO Brand in Vietnam.

The Communications Manager, Vietnam will report to the Head of Colleague Engagement, Corporate Brand Communications. Corporate Brand Communications is part of the Corporate Affairs team which is focused on driving and protecting the brand's reputation.
Day-to-day their partners will be the factory General Manager and their leadership team, and HR colleagues.

Do you have what it takes?
• Prefer candidates with Bachelor's degree and above in Communication/ Marketing/ Journalism/ Public Relations/ International Relations or equivalent
• Minimum experience of 7 years in generalist PR role either in multinational company or agency supporting global companies.
• Experienced in driving social media strategies
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office software.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• A self-starter who is confident working as an individual contributor with senior stakeholders and minimal functional oversight day-to-day.
