British University Vietnam is looking for qualify candidate to fill the position Senior Finance Manager
Job Objective:
To ensure the effective management and control of BUV's finances and accounting activities through the identification and management of financial and operational risk and through timely and accurate financial planning, budgeting, accounting and reporting, including compliance with Company policies and procedures as well as local Government regulation.
The position shall be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from basic accounting to broad investment and banking operations and shall be an excellent leader since all relative departments of the organization will be under his/her command.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive the company's financial planning and implementation of financial strategies that align with the organization objectives.
- Perform risk management and to ensure robust risk strategies are in place to mitigate any internal and external financial risks. Implement best practices and continuous improvement in financial controls and processes.
- Providing strategic recommendations on long-term business and financial planning to the Board of Directors and Heads of department
• Manage and lead the annual budget/ forecasting process, providing guidance and support to each department ensuring alignment with strategic plans.
• Ensure good cash flows management so that the company remains in healthy financial status at all times
• Ensure timely submission and accurate reports to relevant authorities and group finance (such as Statutory reports, Tax reports, Management and Cash flow reports to Group finance)
• Planning and Managing the implementation of all financial instruments with creditors (construction financing loans, working capital loans, all L-T, S-T loans etc)
• Provide consultancy and advice to the Board of Directors and department heads/ line managers on finance and budget related matters and make proactive recommendations on changes and improvement. Monitor and alert the Board of Directors and/or Heads of department on any concerns about budgets versus actual and recommend actions
• Develop and effectively communicate expectations and results for the organization. Prepare presentation materials and analysis for senior management and other stakeholders on financial performance.
• Support Heads of department to develop financial reporting systems that meet the management requirements

• Provide financial reports and provide financial analysis to the Board of Directors on a regular and ad-hoc basis
• Liaise and work with the competent organisations and authorities (Tax offices, auditors, consultancy companies, local Government authorities, banks etc)
• Provide technical support and build capability for finance teams in an effort to promote efficiency, standardized processes and policies.
• Undertake other assignments as delegated by Line manager and/or the BOD

Job Requirements:
MINIMUM ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
• Vietnamese national
• Bachelor or higher degree in Accounting, Finance
• CPA, CA, ACCA qualification or equivalent professional accounting certification is preferred.
• Minimum ten years' experience in a similar senior finance leadership role within an international group of companies.
• Proven experience in providing effective leadership as well as day-to-day supervision to a diverse working group is required.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain clear lines of communication within a culturally diverse environment.
• Having ability to lead the design and implementation of processes which efficiently meet the needs of the organisation, supported by a strong knowledge reporting system/tools is required.
COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)
• Proven sound knowledge of the finance and accounting principles, regulations and operations in Vietnam.
• Proven knowledge of negotiating and completing financial instruments (bank loans, intercompany loans...)
• Proven knowledge of project financing and finalization.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills in English and Vietnamese
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and a high sense of responsibility and integrity
• Ability to work independently and in team, work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Familiar with MS Office and accounting soft-wares
• Proven interpersonal and people-management skills, complemented by excellent written and spoken English is a must;
